This is a set of conversion parts for the Nerf N-Series Sprinter that allows for the use of half-length darts and talon mags.

Features:

  • Minimal hardware required
  • Integrated PCAR on flywheel cage
  • Full dart guide for more reliable feeding
  • Talon and Koda compatible
  • Well-constrained motors for less noise and higher accuracy
  • Compatible with 130 motors
  • Optional shell cutting

Required Hardware:

  • 3mm pin, longer than 15mm (20-30mm optimal)

Required Prints:

Italicized parts require supports

  • Dart Guide
  • Pusher
  • Mag Profile
  • Mag Release

Optional Prints:

  • Cage
    • While the replacement cage is not necessary, the original cage is relatively low crush and did not seem to perform well with my darts (close to stock iirc). The replacement cage has 32.5mm spacing and is designed for Roboman automation Turbo Ranger Minis, though the wheel wells are 33.5mm diameter so any wheel that fits within that will likely work, so long as it fits over the motors mounts, which are 21.5mm wide. I'm not super familiar with this size class of wheels, but I believe this will be essentially anything that fits in a 32.5mm cage.
    • An alignment setting tool is included, and using it to install TR minis will leave them perfectly centered in the bore. An ejection tool is also included, which should work for any wheels.
    • The cage should be printed on the side that faces the magwell, as this will allow the integral pcar to print properly
  • Picatinny Rail
    • This part is not needed if you want to use the original tactical rail, but this allows for mounting of most red dot sights used in the hobby.

Installation Notes

  • The stock mag release spring can be reused
  • The pin for the mag release may be quite tight, so some force may be necessary during installation
  • Take care to install the pusher correctly, if it is installed too far forward while the trigger is released it will not be able to return properly
  • If you are replacing the stock batteries with a lipo, I recommend cutting out the battery portion of the battery tray
  • The motor screws can be recovered from the original cage
  • I recommend cutting out a portion of the shell so you can freely drop mags, shown below. trimming this to fit the contour of a talon mag should not impact the functionality of the blaster should you convert it back to N1 darts later
