Double planetary crank fan

A small hand cranked fan powered by two chained planetary gears - with a handle/support.

What to print:

2 planetary gears (Update: Now you can use the version 2 planetary gear. Seems to spin faster and easier)

10 planet shafts

2 carriers

1 propeller shaft 

1 propeller (you can use the one provided in the project or this remixed toroidal one that performs much better)

1 hand crank

1 holder

1 handle

Assembly instructions

1. Place the planetary gear with the side that sit on the printing plate facing up.  Add the shafts ( 5 of them ) into the planets and snap the carrier onto them, like this:

2. Repeat for the other gear.

3. Slide the handle into the holder and the propeller shaft into the propeller. Now you should have this:

4. Couple the two gears together and slide the assembly into the holder, by bending the holder outwards a bit. Now you should have this:

Add the propeller and the crank to finalize.

Update: If the carrier tends to come off from the planet shafts, you may try to add the shaft caps I recently added.
