Allows you to connect sections of ¼" PEX rigid tubing and some elastic cord to function as a unjamming rod when your foam dart blaster jams, similar to tent tubing. Diameter of .48" allows it to be self supported from the barrel itself, allowing you to apply force without the tube bowing, while clearing BCARs or other tighter bore devices. Rod will automatically open and lock into place when taken out, and takedown is as simple as puling the sections apart and folding it.
To build, cut PEX pipe to desired lengths, and slot a connector on one end. Should be friction tight, but adjust based on tolerances (I used -.1mm horizontal expansion on mine for a tight friction fit). When all segments are done, thread some elastic cord through all the segments, adding some tension and tying a knot on the first and last end so it holds the pipe together. Cut the remaining ends of cordage and push on the end caps.
