Some years ago, I wrote an OpenSCAD program to generate STL files for terrain tiles for Heroscape, which at the time was being discontinued by Hasbro. Related to this, I also wrote an OpenSCAD program to generate STL files for the bases used in the game for placeable terrain objects like trees. I recently went back and rewrote the original tile generator, greatly expanding its functionality, and did the same for the object base generator. Because the only option for the latter was how many hexes the base covered, it was simpler just to generate all the possible arrangements/sizes and release them as a set. The ‘Base Options’ image shows the different sizes and arrangements of the bases in the set, and the ‘Crater Objects’ image shows several crater STLs downloaded from Thingiverse that I printed and glued to 1- and 7-hex object bases sitting on a Heroscape 24-hex tile.
