This tripod was designed to hold any cellphone, but could be used with a variety of items. The height of the tripod is controlled by the lengths of the various ½" PVC tubing that you decide to use. I preferred to make the rounded feet out of TPU for a little add stickiness on a hard surface . The pointed feet I used to stick into the ground. The “Nest6” file is for a general purpose platform that may be used as a binocular or shooting rest. It has nothing to do with holding a cellphone.
July 7, 2025: I made some changes that should make the assembly of the collet into the base easier. I also suggest that making the collet from ASA, ABS or Nylon may help avoid breakage while removing the supports. I recommend avoiding supports for any of the threads. I have had good luck printing threads without supports when using a layer height of .15 mm.
Oct. 10, 2025: I added a longer base jaw (Base Jaw L) and adjustment screw (Adjustment Screw L) to accommodate holding the cellphone vertically.
