Radar Detector Mirror Mount for Uniden

I wanted a better option to mount my radar detector. The top of my dash or tackily on the window is not good enough.

Mirror is best option.

This is a 3 piece design that uses the original suction cup mount bracket from a Uniden R7. If you have a Uniden R4/R4w, R7, R8/R8w it should come with this mount. I don't believe the R3 or DFR7 come with this mount. 

I designed this part to use M4x4x6 heat set inserts. The bottom mount will use the factory Uniden hardware.

Print out of PETG or better. 4 walls would be nice too.

I recommend checking print orientation of the bottom adapter so that the top layer faces you inside the car and also that the adjustment knob is on the side away from you for best visibility and looks.

Fits my GR86 mirror great.

Hardware List:

3x M4x4x6 Heat set inserts (1x middle mount, 2x top clamp)

1x M4x18 Screw (middle mount to bottom adapter)

2x M4x-whatever size fits your mirror Screws. 10-25mm probably (top clamp)

Factory Uniden hardware and bracket.

I will possibly update this with more length and clamping dimensions to truly fit any car with a normal stem mirror. I am also thinking about adding teeth into the clamps so that they do NOT move around, but I haven't had issues with mine moving yet. 

I have included fusion and step files if you want to modify this. Beware the fusion files are an absolute mess lol.
 

I am testing a revised design with teeth on the middle part so it does not move under regular use and should not need adjustment as much even with material creep.
