I ordered a guitar kit from Thomann Europe to build The Printacaster. When the guitar arrived, I noticed that the hole placement of the 3D model didn't match the hole placement of the guitar hardware. I assumed this was due to a new version by the guitar supplier, so I remixed the original Printacaster Core to match the newer guitar version.
The only changes I have made are to the mounting holes for the guitar hardware on the front-side of the full Core. Everything else, all the screw holes and holes on the side, are left as is.
I have also uploaded the FreeCAD file I used for this in case anybody needs to make further changes.
Please see the original model(s) for further instructions.
PS: When assembling the guitar, I learned that heat-set inserts (even good ones from CNC Kitchen) have a relatively low limit of how much torque you can apply to the screw before the insert looses grip and begins to spin it its hole. If the inserts don't align very well with the holes or some piece of filament gets stuck in the threads (or whatever reason that makes the screws not screw in easily), you might be facing an insert that gets loose when fastening the screw.
The author remixed this model.
Changed hole placement on the front side of the model.
