Das Modell der ehemaligen katholischen Kirche “Zu den heiligen Engeln” in D-35708 Fellerdilln (Ortsteil von Haiger) ist das dritte einer Reihe von Modellen profanierter, umgebauter, umgewidmeter oder abgerissener Kirchen der katholischen Pfarrei Zum Guten Hirten an der Dill. Das Modell soll ehemaligen Besuchern, die in der Kirche getauft, gefirmt, getraut wurden und anderen Interessenten - über Fotografische Darstellung hinaus gehend - zeigen, wie die Kirche und ihre Nebenräume einmal ausgesehen haben. Deshalb ist das Modell so zerlegbar, dass auch der Innenraum nacherlebt werden kann. 

Die Kirche wurde am 13.09.1953 geweiht.

Das Modell entstand im Maßstab 1/100, ohne dass ich die Kirche je gesehen hatte, anhand der Originalpläne des Architekten und Fotos vom Zustand um den Zeitpunkt der Profanierung.

Der am 08.05.1976 eingeweihte Gemeindesaal ist nicht Teil des Modells, wohl aber der Glockenturm, dessen Glocken Weihnachten 1975 erstmals läuteten. 

Nachdem das CAD-Original erstellt war, wurden in einer Kopie einige Merkmale zum Zweck besserer Druckbarkeit modifiziert (z.B. Türen so “aufgedickt”, dass ihre Stärke im Original 8-16 cm entsprechen würde.) Im Slicer wurden alle Teile auf den Maßstab 1/75 vergrößert (133%), um (unter vollständiger Nutzung de Bauraums des Prusa XL) das Modell möglichst robust zu gestalten. Das Modell eignet sie sich auch für Modelleisenbahnen. (Der Maßstab 1/87 für H0 wird erreicht, wenn im Slicer 115% eingestellt werden.) Dabei bietet es sich an, die Innenausstattung weg zu lassen.

In the slicer, all parts were enlarged to a scale of 1/75 (133%) in order to make the model as robust as possible (while fully utilising the build space of the Prusa XL). The model is also suitable for model railways. (The scale 1/87 for H0 is achieved when 115% is set in the slicer). It is a good idea to leave out the interior fittings.
