This coin is a historically inspired design intended for 3D printing. The front features a stylized sun motif based on the ancient Macedonian emblem often associated with Alexander the Great, resembling the Vergina Sun. The back contains the word “Drachma” in Greek letters, engraved in negative relief.
The model includes two versions:
The model is optimized for single-color prints, but it also works well with manual filament changes to produce a two-tone effect. For example, the sun and outer rim can be printed in gold, while the rest of the coin remains black.
Suitable for FDM 3D printers and tested on an Ender 3 V2 Neo using PLA filament. The flat side with the text should be printed facing down to ensure clarity and clean edge definition. The design was originally created for a children’s camp but is also well-suited for use in tabletop games, classroom activities, or as a collectible item.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
