I love the Commander Stanley Organizer Bins by @opqdan_1356160, so I decided to make a commander frame to top it off and I'm pretty happy with it. I printed the first test in PETG on my Core One and it turned out fairly well. Printed at 0.1mm height to get the tabs to turn out half decent.

I used a stripped piece of cat5 wire (24-26 gauge; just the bare copper) as the hinge pin which slid in snugly for me. YMMV. You will also notice little notches at the ends of the hinges to hide the end of the copper wire once cut to length. I might put a little dab of glue in there to hold it in place in the future. I have noticed that since I've cut the notches into the end-most hinges, one notch is on the top piece, and the other well… on the bottom piece. This means that when opening the card frame lid, either the wires need to bend with the frame, or they're (more likely) just going to pop out on one side. Hence the glue consideration. Perhaps v2 will have a solution if there's traction. For me personally, I don't think I'll be needing to pop it in and out of the frame, I think I plan on just playing them on the table in frame. We'll see.

The lid also fits fairly well into the organizer bins and holds in place with friction. I turned mine upside down with a full 100 sleeved cards and it didn't pop off. But would I trust it to not fall out upside down? No.

Design-wise, I left a little bottom bar under the card window in case I decided to put a label or something there in the future, I dunno. I guess the frame could also be pushed into the bin face down to protect the commander card as well. So display mode or protect mode. I like it. I'll probably experiment with mixing bottom and top colours as well as lid/bin colour combos. Match the colours to the commander colour identity even. K I won't say colour again.

V2 may also include a solution to the fairly flimsy outer clips I've made. But here's v1 for now at least.

Oh, and it's meant to house a sleeved card if that wasn't already obvious. 👍
