I've been keeping my router bits in holes drilled in a 2x4 for way too long. This is a Honeycomb Storage Wall solution to just get them out of my way. You specify the shaft diameter, bit diameter, and how many, and it figures out the rest. (you may need to adjust clearance et. al.)
This design uses edges that protrude from the inside of the holes to minimize friction surface area, preventing the bits from getting stuck.
Provided example is for router bits with a ¼" shaft and heads less than ½" across.
I recommend printing with the holes facing down.
