A compact solution to avoid VTX to go hot while working on the bench! (yes DJI owners you know what I am talking about)
How it works:
- The fan is from an old computer
- A 5v to 12volt booster provide the juice
- A small push button is under the plate…when you place your drone on top..it starts
- Red light is to show power is on
- Green light is to show that the fan is going
How to print:
- PLA - 15% infill - print in place - no support
What you need:
- 1 x 12V fan (80mm)
- 1 X 5v to 12 volt booster provide the juice
- 1 X push button (arduino like buttons)
- 1 X USB connector (if your booster doesn't have one)
- 2 X LEDS
- 2 X 220 ohms resistors for the LED
- 4 x M3 bolts (20mm) (for the top plate)
- 4 X locnuts for the top plate
- 4 x M3 bolts (16mm) for the bottom plate
- 4 x M3 nuts for the bottom plate
- Glue gun to hold the electronic in place
Advice:
- use glue gun to hold the button on top of the fan
- electronic box and bottom plate can be glued using the rectangle hole
- the top plate sits on the button, don't tighten up the screws too much
