Magnetic Blower Duct for Titan Aero

Update.. recreated from scratch for 13mm magnets which hold stronger. Added some extra clearance for hot end.. smoother airflow path inside.

This is a blower mount that magnetically attaches to the stepper motor on a titan aero setup.

You will need 6mm / 0.25 Inch magnets to shove into the holes on top. I used these: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01NCKNB9M

Fan needed is a 50mmx50mmx15MM blower fan. I think a remix of this design for a 30x30x10mm would be a great idea since this fan seems overkill.

The nice thing about this is you can just grab the fan and stick it on your frame when printing ABS to save weight on the print head. Airflow is almost too good.. at 50% I can't maintain 260 degrees on my print head so for high temps maybe keep it to 25%.

Update: Installed an E3D silicone sock and now I can run 100% fan.. benchies are pretty much perfect at 100% compared to 50% so I think this might be the ideal setup.

I printed with flame retardant ABS since the duct is in such close proximity to the hot end.
