Gridfinity Trays / Troughs for Drills, Mills and other Items

Simple solution to organise many different things. These are very common in shops. And I could not find one that was ticking all my boxes, so I designed this. You can easily set this up so it will fit anything that you want to store, access is simple, so is redistribution. I am not a fan of overspecialising my organisation, rather I want simple, functional and adaptable.

• Comes in one, two or three grids long
• Separator is set up so it is a loose fit on my printer
• If it is too loose or tight, you can just scale it slightly in your slicer
• change of 0.1mm width makes a very noticeable difference in my testing
• 0.1% scaling is about 0.04mm, so maybe try 0.2% scaling first (if needed at all)

Orientation of the files is correct for printing, I have so far printed in PLA with 15% infill. I think that is completely fine since the base design is quite sturdy and they will only have a slight compressive stress applied to them. Layer height does not matter a whole lot, the chamfers are 0.4mm, so using 0.2mm layer height is theoretically best, but I have not found it to matter all that much.

The original uploads had some trouble with the length & precision fitting, only really affecting the 3 grid part, this is corrected now. Gridfinity specs are not really all that clear on the issue…
