A DM screen with a built in player facing LCD, for showing off artwork, initiative tracker, or whatever else you want to show your players. I have even used it to show the webcam feed of a player that had to join through Discord.
**Front text is not included in the shared model. That was just for my own print.**
About a year ago, I remade my original hand made DM Screen with a built in LCD, but 3D printable: https://www.printables.com/model/938112-dm-screenscreen
The downside was the limitation of the print area of my Prusa printer. I recently got a H2D, so I made a new version that takes advantage of the bigger print area, so that the front piece can be printed as a single piece now. Also more pieces in total, so it is a bit wider. This also means you'll need a 300x300 printer to print this version. If that's not an option, I recommend you rather use the previous version.
The design is made to fit this particular USB-C screen: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005903939630.html

Alternative monitor: Someone on Reddit contacted me and said they have had success with fitting this monitor without any modifications: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C7KPPXTZ
That information was from the old version, but it makes sense that it should work just as well for this one.
All source files are available if you want to edit it to fit a different screen, or any other modifications you feel like.
I went with a complete screen, as separate screen and controller units wasn't actually noticeably cheaper, and a assembled screen is far simpler to design for. And it is also much less scary looking for someone new to electronics :p
Extras needed:
16x M5x50 screws for the hinges
6x M3x10 screws for the backplate
6x M3 heated inserts (or similar) for the backplate
I skipped inserts for the hinges, as they should work perfectly fine screwed directly in to the plastic, and shouldn't be removed too often, but easy access to the LCD might be smart, so I added them there.
There is built in clearance of about 0,1-0,2mm for most parts, where needed, but the hinges are pretty tight by design, as I didn't want noticeable gaps during use.
I have added both .step and .f3d files to make remixing as simple as possible.
Everything should print without supports..
I have also added some attachements for stuff like hanging paper on the inside of the screen, slots for cards, a rail for attachement that would fit on a regular DM screen, and combinations thereof.
For the paper hangers, insert some M5 nuts so you can use magnets on the outside, or just glue some magnets on the inside. I went with M5 on the assumption that it would be a more available standard. There is also a M5 nut model, if you'd want to make your own magnet cutout.
