When you have a cpap fan for parts cooler, you will almost never run it at full speed. Likewise, the lowest speed it will start at, mine is 16%, might sometimes be too much for dificult filaments like ABS or ASA. I use Spectrum ASA 275 and found that even at 16% it cools too much and fails the print. Now with this valve I can regulate the flow even lower and reduce it by a very significant amount.
I printed mine in DD PLA at 6 perimeters and the infil does not even matter. I slowed it down a bit to give the small areas some time to recover before being extruded on again.
no supports needed and I printed them together upright. totally no cleaning needed, just fit it as it is on your 24V WS7040 fan outlet and you are good to go.
