Excellent print.

I'm looking into building one of these as a kit! I know you mentioned that PLA is fine if we plan on leaving it unenclosed, so I assume PETG would be suitable too?
@GP3D PETG should be fine, I would print 5 wall 50 percent infill
I'm looking at sourcing all the parts for this on my own instead of buying the LDO kit (even though the LDO kits look nice) just to have a full on my own experience with building this. I'm looking at the CF rods, do you recommend a pultruded rod, or a wrapped, weave style tube?
@K_19_ it should not matter with a printer this size, either will be fine
Looks awesome!
BOM calls for 350mm T slot extrusion. Any reason 400mm won't work?
@BillDoser_4029116 as long as your not using acrylic panels it will be fine, you may need to change the size of linear rails too
@Rolohaun thanks for the response. I assumed i would need to compensate for the difference when buying belts and rails.
Need to use what I have.
Very nice looking printer!
I'm quite interested in building one, but wondering about the feasability of using a Phaetus Taichi hotend. It seems like adding another extruder is very easy, but how easy do you recon modifying the toolhead would be to support a taichi?
Thanks for the awesome design!
@MteWinkel_796432 thank you, there isn't really much room on the toolhead not sure if that would be possible. You can check that CAD and see
Hi !
Nice job, really cool design. Thank you so much !
Working on a self build with the BOM, there are some mistake on it,
Magnets should be at least 12 units, 6 on each side of the top panel, and 2 more for the handle.
Missing all the M3x12mm screw, I count at least 24 of them, all for the frame assembly.
Apart from that, the documentation is easy to follow and the build is very classic if you're somewhat used to it, can't wait to finish the electronics and see it in action!
@Gwenole_2721575 thanks I made the change
Hello! Any idea where to get 150mm PEI? It is quite strange to have 150mm bed with 120mm PEI sheet :(.
@boriss_220673 there is nothing really on the market for that. LDO might sell the bed and PEI separate but nothing confirmed yet. The printers max print area is only 120mm at most anyway.
Such a fun build! Easy to assemble and the webpage with all the included info was super helpful.

G’day - looking forward to building mine soon! I have to ask, is there any easy to source spare print sheets you would recommend? Thank you :)
@PlasticGolem as far as I know LDO is the only one that makes these for the Kit
@Rolohaun thank you for the reply! I’ll have to badger them to see if they plan on selling spares haha
This was a ton of fun to build. Started with LDO's kit, with blue LDO ABS for most of the visible parts and toolhead, and a random black ASA for the decks and carriages.
