Star Raiders Mast & Sail for Transformers Legacy Tidal Wave

As soon as the Star Raiders capsule line and Tidal Wave was announced, it was just a matter of time for us to do up this diorama enhancing piece for the motley crew!

The base piece of this set attached onto the Tidal Wave's alt mode topside by pegging onto its top-facing 5mm peg. After which, the mast can simply be slotted into place.

The sail and crow's nest come as separate pieces which peg together to form the upper bit of the mast. 

Now that Tidal Wave has taken on his Star Raider flagship look, it's time for the crew to board and roam the high seas ... or galaxies ?

For more display options, the crow's nest actually comes with 5mm ports set into its base, so 5mm-sized display stands or accessories can fit right in there.

But that's not all - this set also transforms alongside Tidal Wave to becoming a piratey rapier! This is done by removing the main sail piece and pushing everything else together. To give him a better grip, the port were the top flag pegs in doubles up to allow the cannon in his hand to fit into.

Other parts of the main sail can be set aside if not needed, or pegged into his left arm. The main sail is sized to fit into the tab notch, and the top flag features a 5mm peg to go anywhere a 5mm port is placed.

And with that, he's all ready for some space pirating of his own too. Arrrrr!

One key thing to not is that the sail will have to be printed flat (can be colored by layers), and then shaped using a little bit of heat from a lighter or hair drying to give it its curved, billowing look.
