Finally, after many rounds of tweaking to get this just right - here's Megatron's arm for SS86 Optimus Prime, as inspired by the Skybound comics!
With a mushroom peg sized to be similar to Prime's one, its just a simple matter of popping out his original arm and swapping this kit in.
We've designed this to be as close a mirror image of this other arm so it looks more balanced. And with Megatron's iconic fusion canon strapped onto his forearm. Prime's really packing the firepower this time!
With universal 5mm ports modelled onto the front and back of the fusion canon - you can add effect parts for more ommph!
For his own ion blaster, it can be also be somewhat held in Megatron's arm, though its shorter handle can make that a little finicky.
However, for his other energy axe weapon, the hand rotates around at the wrist to its peg side. And this is where the axe can be connected.
Here's a look at the how the hand rotates back around, in preparation for transformation into Prime's alt mode. Transformation works much like how he does it originally and the folded up arm should tuck into its proper place on the side of the cab.
The only slight difference for his alt mode here is that for the fusion canon to be pegged in the smokestack position, the last step of flipping over the blue shin piece will need to be skipped.
=== Assembly ===
Included here is that exploded diagram showing the assembly for this kit.
Due to the small size of some of the parts, short segments of 1mm pins cut to size will need to be used. It might be possible that some straightened paper clips would work here, though we used brass rods which are easier to cut down to size. These should be the kinds typically used to railroad modelling or the like.
The fusion canon has also been designed in three part, so that when its assembled, it can be put together in an extended mode, for use in Prime's bot mode, or compacted downwards into a shorter form so that it can be used as Prime's alt mode's 'smokestack'.

Hope y'all are ready to go on the the offensive with this kit for your own SS86 Optimus Primes too. Happy 3d printing! =)
