After feedback I've updated the Fusion 360 model by adding two other versions of the magnet holder, one that screws onto a 3d printed spacer and another that has the screws positioned outside of the ball bearing housing. They should make it so you don't have to remove the hoverboard motor ball bearing.
Edit: I've added a third stl version of the magnet holder to suit Viih's original centering piece. It will only give you 0.5mm clearance on each side of the center hole for the encoder holder and slip ring and you'll have to use screws to fix it with head diameter of less than 6mm (which shouldn't be too hard, 4g posidrive screws I have have 5.5 dia heads).
I've also added parameters and updated the design a bit so it's easier to adjust things like the fit of the shaft, how far it sticks out the wheel and the magnet holder mounting hole sizes and positions.

The author remixed this model.
Copied and modified the “centering piece” from Viih's FFBeast Encoder Assembly.
The FFBeast wheel enclosure is copied in the fusion .f3z file to help me design my wheel overall. There is a modified enclosure back cover to mount a usb hub board, but that isn't the point of this printables post.
