This is a holder for ID cards like the ones found for student ID's at Universities.

This is a holder for ID cards, like the ones used at Universities. It was designed to hold 1 plastic ID with dimensions 3-3/8 x 2-1/8 x 1/32 inches.

The CaseBody file is designed to be printed flat with the hinge working right off the print bed. The decoration pieces might need a little sanding on the edges to fit into their holes for the cover. There are holes included for placing a 5x10x2 mm magnet into both sides of the CaseBody to help keep the cover closed. There is also a keychain hole at the top to attach to lanyards.

I would recommend printing with 0.1mm layers. Make sure to tune the support settings in your slicer so that they breakaway easily or the overhang where the card fits in the body will be very hard to clean out.

Note: I printed this model to test the fit and found that the door has a tendency to pop out of the hinge. This can be fixed by cutting a small hole in the bottom hinge and inserting a staple or paperclip along the hinge axis to keep the door aligned and in place.
