Heat-Resistant Bed Mount Inserts for Rook 2020 MK2
The Problem:
The stock Rook 2020 MK2 printer frame is designed to be printed in PLA, which works great for most of the printer—except where the heated bed mounts to the bedframe. The heat from the bed screws transfers through the mounting points, causing the PLA bedframe to soften and deform over time. This can lead to bed leveling issues and potentially compromise the structural integrity of that section.
The Solution:
This redesigned bedframe incorporates dedicated mounting inserts that are designed to be printed in heat-resistant materials like PETG or ABS/ASA. These inserts act as thermal barriers and structural reinforcements at the critical mounting points, isolating the heat from the PLA frame while maintaining a solid, stable connection for the heated bed.

Installation:
The bedframe mounts to the printer like normal, but when mounting the heated bed, use a insulator insert on the 3 screws on each side of the bedframe.
Benefits:
✓ Eliminates heat-related deformation at bed mounting points
✓ Maintains bed leveling stability over time
✓ Easy drop-in upgrade for existing Rook 2020 MK2 builds
✓ Uses the same PLA-friendly design for the main frame
