This 3D printable project is designed to prevent your drone VTX from overheating when powered on and connected to your PC. It features a compact mount that holds a small blower fan directed at the VTX, ensuring continuous airflow and heat dissipation.

Included Files:

side_clip_ledf.stl (x2) – Holds the blower fan in place.

top_arm.stl (x1) – Structural support arm (requires support during print).

base_arm.stl (x2) – Connects top arm to the base.

base.stl (x1) – Base mount (requires support).

cooling_mount.3mf – Pre-configured 3MF file with print settings and model positioning for Orca Slicer.

Print Settings (Tested on Ender 3 V2):

Material: ABS

Infill: 20% for most parts, 100% infill on structural components (check 3MF file)

Supports: Required for top_arm.stl and base.stl

Assembly Notes:

  • Uses 5x M4 Allen screws to assemble the parts.
  • The gap between the holes that holds the blower fan is 56.7mm
  • ⚠ Keep the parts in the same orientation as shown in the cooling_mount.3mf file when slicing to ensure proper print success, good layer adhesion strength and assembly fit.

With this cooling mount, you can safely test or update your VTX firmware without the risk of frying it due to lack of airflow.
