Hi, on my Prusa XL 5T all 5 printheads suffered from a not smooth working swivel-retraction.
This all happend before exchanging the nextruder parts to PCCF so it could be a result of allready “missformed” PETG parts by using a self build housing - prusas hopusing was not available (one year ago).
IMHO: Attention I am no engeneer but IMHO
It is a construction failure, that the screws running through the springs, allready have a thread where no thread should be to run smooth through the metal hole and not blocking the spring from stratching or squissing!
I DON'T know how importend it is for printing to have a smooth “pushed” and flexibel pressed idler-level, but it seems to work great and the springs can do their work no.
So go and graab some 3x40mm zylindric Headscrews
I ordered them on schraubenking.at (or schraubenking.de :-))
print the gauge and cut the screws.
Exchange the screws from the lever on your nextruder …
Done
