Just another one -- I have NOT tested it yet.

Materials:

  1. 8 x M3 screws 40mm - 50mm (45mm may be the best, depending on your belt length and spaces), rounded cap
  2. 12 x M3 hex nuts
  3. 2 OD 5mm screw sleeves, smooth parts 21mm - 26mm, the cover screws should be no taller than 2.5mm
  4. 4 x m6 screws and T nuts, 8mm - 10mm, using pads if screws are too long, m5 should also work here
  5. Each side can re-use the current 1mm x 2 spacer and bearings.

The left and right base both have a letter (L / R) on the upper side. They have a foot to touch the horizontal profile (left touches the lower side and right higher), so no need to measure. The base uses 4 m3 screws and 4 hex nuts to guide the arm. The front two screws are also used with 2xm4 hex nuts to tight the belt. Make sure the arm can move on screws and we usually need to enlarge holes (drill bits or just m3 screws). At least, the force to move should be smaller than the belt tension.

I plan to use this as a backup with other belt tensioners when I upgrading my printer, so I have not tested it yet.
