ÖVERSIDAN top/bottom mounting bracket for SKÅDIS pegboads

When I wanted to light up my IKEA SKÅDIS pegboards using the IKEA ÖVERSIDAN I was surprised that nobody before me had created a mount for them. So, with no previous (S)CAD experience I made this my first modelling project and here are the results.

I've included the models I myself would had found useful previously, including two pairs of full on mounts for the angle and length I decided on, in addition to the base models for attaching to each side of the light bar, and the full blown .scad¹ file with Customizer support if you want another angle, another length, or just want access to the raw code behind it, it's yours to keep.

Build instructions

• Print the files. They final pairs comes in two variants. Print the files marked as ‘top’ if you want a top mount, and ‘bottom’ if you want a bottom mount. All files are designed to be printed with no support.
• Mount on pegboards, I'll recommend the top row for the top mount, and bottom row for the bottom mount.
• Pull the cable through the hole in the pegboard where side A is mounted.
• Attach the cable to the ÖVERSIDAN light bar.
• Attach the ÖVERSIDAN light bar to the mounting bracket, first on side A, then on side B. Be sure to tuck the cable into the cable holder on the light bar before inserting it into the mounting bracket.
• Optional. Route the cable to wherever you want/need it to be.
• Congratulations! You've now mounted your ÖVERSIDAN light bar to your SKÅDIS pegboards.

¹ You need to somehow have BOLS2 available nearby the SCAD file, or modify the file to point to an existing install of it, before you can make use of it.
