So I got myself the Gardena 4700/2 pump (model 9025-29) and threw it straight into my rain barrel like a responsible adult. Only problem? It was sucking up more mud than water, like it was trying to drain a swamp instead of irrigate tomatoes.

Cue the 3D printer.

This simple but effective Pump Crown design clips onto the bottom of the Gardena pump and elevates it by 20mm β€” just enough to avoid the sludge layer while still keeping the intake submerged. It’s like a throne for your pump. Because your pump deserves better than sitting in literal dirt.

πŸ“ snug press-fit (but not overly tight β€” you might want to add a dab of silicone or glue to keep it secure, yet still removable)
🌊 keeps your flow clean, and your filter happier
🧽 no more filter scrubbing after every rainstorm

Printed in PETG for outdoor resilience, but feel free to experiment (and report when PLA melts). No supports needed. Prints flat. 100% gravity-compatible. Probably won't levitate, but your water quality will.
