I designed this wall-mounted hook to hold some of my power tools. It's a simple and practical solution for organizing your workspace.
Print Settings:
Infill: 25% (Triangle pattern)
Layer Height: 0.28mm
Walls: 4 perimeters (adjust accordingly if using a different layer height)
Supports: Likely needed for the hook portion, though I haven't tested it without.
Orientation: Print standing up for faster print speed, but print horizontally for increased strength.
Strength: Hooks are stronger when printed horizontally, so the layer lines are parallel to the weight-bearing direction (see last photo). This method uses more filament. You can also increase wall perimeters and infill to further improve strength. I recommend printing these with PETG, as it offers higher strength and won't warp in heat, which is useful for a hot shop or garage.
This hook has four screw holes but only requires two screws (top and bottom) for lighter loads.
Edits:
I have also created an updated hook called Version Two, which improves both the appearance and strength. In addition, Version Two includes Medium and Large Guard options
