This 3D-printed can holder features a clever sliding mechanism with a built-in flexure that locks into place. This prevents smaller (330ml) cans from falling to the bottom, keeping them at the same height as larger (500ml) cans. Perfect for keeping your drink stable and accessible regardless of size!
You'll need to print two parts:
File Options:
Can Holder Variants:
.3mf files with multiple bodies assigned to different colors.Suggestions for different logos or other changes are always welcome!
Slider Variants:
Multiple versions available with different spring strengths to suit various materials.
Orientation: Print the model upside down – this way, it only requires a max 35° overhang and short bridging sections for the handle/slider hole. No supports needed. A brim could be useful for adhesion
Recommended Material: PLA or a similar rigid filament. Most materials will work, but if you use a softer filament, try one of the stronger spring versions of the slider to ensure a satisfying “click” when locking in place. I have found that the springs start a bit rough but only get better with time
Once your parts are printed, assembly is quick and easy:
Insert the slider into the slot in the can holder’s handle.
It should snap in place with a satisfying click.
That’s it — you’re done!
🍹 Great job! Now go enjoy a cold drink.
If you print this, I’d love to see your make! Feel free to share photos, remix ideas, or suggest improvements. Cheers!
