Flywheel designed to fit Xing 2207 motors. Might also be compatible with T19/Spirit.

Requires good layer & line adhesion to print properly.

Ensure your process can print steep overhangs. (Otherwise wheels will be very unbalanced.) I use 0.24 layer height, 0.48 line width, and 2 walls, 3 top/bottom layers. Concentric patterns w/o infill. Use ABS or other lightweight high temp filaments only.

Not extensively tested in the field yet, has only fired a few darts on a test bench setup. Unknown if the geometry conflicts with the cage.

Firmware contains my adaptations to the hardware I have.

06/17/2025: New updated version has been added, adjusted for weight reduction.

06/18/2025: Modifying this listing to be for all Phantasm edits I do.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Flywheel:

Designed to fit Xing 2207 motors. Might also be compatible with T19/Spirit.

Uses original wheel-dart profile. Adds extra room around motor, requires good layer & line adhesion to print properly. Rest is custom geometry to fit the motor, reduce weight, and for aesthetics.

Firmware:

PhantasmPWMProMini.ino: EXTREMELY EXPERIMENTAL FIRMWARE, USE AT OWN RISK.

Changes from stock PWM/AM32 firmware:

  • Pinout changes for Arduino Pro Mini
  • Disabled low battery shutoff for testing purposes (eventually I want this to be a warning instead of a forced shutoff, but plan on moving to a new codebase)
  • Edited the default profiles to my spec - semi/auto/fast auto, speeds adjusted for 2750kv motors.
  • Moved the ESC arming to be just before loop() starts executing, as required by some SimonK ESC's.
