Beautiful bamboo lamp

Bamboo rods make fine lamps. And because all diameters are different 3D printing shades is the way to go.

The idea was to make a hanging lamp out of a long rod of bamboo. A rod was cut in different sizes and circles of bamboo were used to bolt them together. Because the bamboo is not perfectly round, ovals were printed with a circle in the middle. Those are glued in the rods. They also hold a tiny bridge for a 230 volt led fitting.

The shades are printed in vase mode with an edge slightly bigger than the circle of the ovals. You can easily squeeze them in the circle.

Because this project really needs to be custom made, I only provide the parametric FreeCad file. If you want me to make a bamboo lamp for you, let me know ;)

LampBamboo_04.FCStd . This is the shade and the ring

FittingSteun_04.FCStd . This is the bridge to hold the fitting. It needs improvement but will do ;)
