Marvel Champions tends to require quite a bit of table space, especiallay when playing with two or more players. And, depending on the lighting, sleeved cards are sometime hard to read due to reflections. These card holders helped alleviate my space and readability woes.
Using them is straight forward: Put the cards in the backmost notch. Done! ^_^
The holders come in three different sizes: a large one that can hold 3 upright cards, a medium sized one that can hold 2 upright cards and a small one that can hold a single card sideways. I mainly use the bigger one for the villain cards and the small one for scheme cards.
There are a couple of additional features:
I usually print at 0.2 mm layer height ("Quality" setting) with Prusament PLA or DasFilament PLA, using the standard Prusament PLA profile in PrusaSlicer. If you don't want to use the card holders with the connecters, just print with standard settings and you should be good.
However, if you want to use the connectors, the print dimensions need to be accurate, so the connection is tight enough to make the parts hold together, but still loose enough to make separating them an easy process. If your printer is not correctly calibrated or your filament diameter is not consistent, you might end up with connectors that are too big or too small.
So, before printing any holders and trays with connectors, you should print the test models and try to attach them to each other. If you need a bit of force in order to slide them into each other (you might hear scraping/cracking noises during this process, but that's ok) and you are able to seperate them again (wiggling the parts usually helps), the print dimensions are probably accurate. If you need too much force (print too big) or the connection is too loose (print too small) you need to change the extrusion multiplier or play with the x/y-compensation setting in PrusaSlicer.
Please let me know what you think. Also, do feel free to drop me a message, if you have problems with printing these or if you have ideas for add-ons or for how to improve the design.
All my models are free and may be used and shared by everyone. I put a lot of time in my designs to get everything right and I hope the result shows. So, if you like my stuff, consider supporting me here: paypal.me/schnelge.
Cheers! ^_^
