Easy Bluetooth Battery Lego Monorail Motor

There are two different types of Bluetooth app controlled motors on Aliexpress, a yellow-white version (right) which goes for 2-5$ or a light blueish gray-white version which goes for 7-8$ that is also the same as the red-black version which goes for 7-12$. You need to use different housing part for the two versions, they are clearly labeled.

The right one uses an app called „XP Block“ and the other one uses an app called „Power Box“, both available on the apple app store and apks for android are available here and here.

parts needed:

-1x n20 motor with 9v 3000rpm or 3v 1000rpm 

(these are about as fast as original motors but you can use ones with different speeds, slower motors will be stronger and faster motors will be weaker)

-1x 12t 0.5M 3mm d gear

-2.54mm pin header at least 8 pins

-black and housing colored filament

-2x steel axle - same as on the normal motor

-1x heat set insert (voron default)

-1x m3x8 bolt

Instructions:

• Test the motor

• Open up the motor by unclipping the clips and unscrewing the bottom screw

• Unscrew the screw(s) holding the pcb in place 

• Unsolder the wires ending on the motor

• Solder the wires to the n20 motor

• place the pcb and then the battery inside the housing part

• assemble like normal

Housing and Main Body is adjusted to the battery pcb
