   This is a large 1:8 scale model measuring 30 inches (76cm) long, 16inches (40cm) tall, 12 inches (30cm) wide. This model is going to be more expensive than my other models due to the additional parts and size. The frame is reinforced by 10mm square carbon fiber rods. Some parts are also reinforced by 5mm metal rods. The modular design will allow for easy future updates and options.  

This model is all wheel drive with forward tilting cab. The battery is accessed by tilting cab forwards and is held in place by the cab when secured in upright position. The doors open and latch with door handle. 

This is an easy yet more complex build than my previous models. The frame and drivetrain is actually fairly easy and simple. The cab has fewer moving parts yet is a bit more finicky to print and assemble. 

My inspiration came from watching Russian logging trucks. Many of the trucks did not have trailers. The frame rails were longer than normal. the standard tires were replaced with tractor tires. I though to myself, that would make a great off road rollback.

Updates: 

June 8-2025 - KO3 Replaced one of the air break release switches with parking break

June 14-2025  The universals only have one set screw. I suggest filing a flat spot on the drive shafts the set screw can bight better and prevent slipping.

I have enjoyed designing this model and would like to celebrate with a competition. Two prizes will be given out for the best Rex builds. One for best build pictures uploaded to the Rex makes page, the other for best YouTube video uploaded to YouTube. Both prizes are for a coupon for two rolls of Prusa filament. To compete in the video competition you will need to add a link to the YouTube video on the makes page or you can send me the link in private message. Builds will be judged by a respectable third party to remove myself from the equation. (Rules - Must use the Rex drivetrain. Must use the 352 Day Cab, Must use the Rollback back section.) This competition is not regulated or insured and is backed only by my honor. Compete accordingly. Last day for entry will be Sept 19th 2025. Winners will be announced and messaged and prizes awarded on the 21st.
