Hexa Pen

A small tribute to Prusa Research and their great products.

I wanted to model something using Prusa hexagonal black/orange branding and representing a symbol of 3d printing. I added a see-through dragon hotend as a grip, followed by a small heatsink and nozzle as writing tip. There is also a blue blob of filament to be used as a base for the heatsink tip :)

Most of it couldn't be produced with injection molding, so that's a nice thing for a 3d print.

I printed everything in the 0.15mm Quality preset, except for the tall pieces which I printed at 0.1mm at 15mm/s. For the hex body I used a raft.
