Fantastic demonstration model. I didn't have any 14mm or 18mm M3 bolts so I used 16s and a 20 in their place; thankfully, they work fine so long as you strategically orient them so that the socket heads are in the places where the parts could collide.
It's worth mentioning that the slots on my print have a pretty fair amount of play--enough to cause teeth to skip if you aren't somewhat careful when opening and closing it. If I hold it at the two ends of the hypotenuse, I can easily open it all the way, but it is impossible to close due to the right angle legs going all acute on me, causing a bind. If you find this happens to you, the best way to avoid this when opening is to hold the two legs that form the right angle, with one hand holding an inner slider of one leg, the other holding an outer slider of the other leg. When closing, it's best to try to support the vertex of the right angle somehow so nothing jams.
