Custom Split Keyboard Case

This is the case for my custom split mechanical keyboard, designed to house a fully hand-built PCB and provide a clean, functional look. The set includes all parts needed for both halves of the split keyboard, as well as a separate numpad module. 

The keyboard features a split columnar staggered layout with Kailh Choc switches, per-key RGB lighting, 2.2" LCD's on each half and a magnetically detachable numpad and can be connected to either the left or right half of the keyboard.

Foam Templates for all three parts of this keyboard. 

I laser cut the foam parts out using a sketch derived from the foam templates, but you could also print them out and use them as a cutting guide.

The case was printed in PLA on my Ender 3 V2 Pro at 0.15mm layer height for better detail and finish. The foam templates are meant to be traced onto thin EVA or shelf liner foam to help dampen sound and improve key feel. Everything fits together with M2 screws and heat-set inserts, and the plates are designed for a snug fit around the switches. This was a really fun part of the build and helped bring the whole project together — I hope it works just as well for your setup!
