Nvidia just discontinue physX and I need my old GPU to run my old games. However, the PCI-E slot is at the wrong place on my MB. Hence I will need to raise the GPU above the mother board, and use soft ribbon cable under neath to make it happen. I also use M.2 to PCI-E converter to make sure this installation does not steal the x16 Gen 5 channel my main GPU is using.
I have not test it with the normal orientation, but I assume you will need to have a GPU holder to secure it.
I guess this is only for people that want to have a quick fix for their system~
