Audi key wall mount

Most of our keys are neatly hung on the wall—except for my Audi A4 B8.5 keys. While I could simply attach a keychain and hang them like the rest, I prefer to keep these keys “clean” and free from any attachments. That’s why I designed a minimalist wall mount specifically for them.

Design

The model consists of two parts:

• A wall mount
• A small bracket

The wall mount fits snugly over the bracket and can be easily removed when needed. This makes the system both secure and convenient.

Print Settings

These settings worked well for me:

• 15% infill
• 3 perimeter walls
• 0.2 mm layer height
• No supports required
• Standard PLA print settings

I printed mine in marble PLA for a sleek finish. Regular PLA should provide sufficient strength for this application.

Additional Hardware

To install the mount, you’ll need:

• 2 small 3 mm wood screws
• 2 wall plugs (only needed for mounting into brick or concrete)

Included Versions

Two versions are included:

• One with an Audi logo
• One without a logo

I’ve also included the SolidWorks source files in case you want to remix the design or make your own adjustments.

Key Compatibility

This holder is designed for Audi Type 2A and 2B key fobs, which are commonly found on many Audi models, including:

• Audi A3 (8P, 8V)
• Audi A4 (B7, B8, B8.5)
• Audi A5 (B8)
• Audi A6 (C6, early C7)
• Audi A7 (C7)
• Audi A8 (D3, early D4)
• Audi Q5 (8R)
• Audi Q7 (4L)
• Audi TT (8J)

These key types are also used in various Volkswagen Group (VAG) vehicles, including certain models from Volkswagen, SEAT, Škoda, and even Lamborghini.

My specific key is from a 2013 Audi A4 B8.5, and it fits perfectly in the holder.

Fitment Note

The key slides nicely into the holder without being too snug—for my specific key. Your mileage may vary depending on wear, tolerances, or slight model differences.
