viola da gamba is the string instrument in renaissance / baroque period. you can make a bow for yourself to play it!
I added a 6mm dia button to stick it well, which I have seen on old renaissance NRI bow on photo (I assume it is made by Coen Engelhard)

As a STEAM educator / professional early music player I made this file to spread the awesomeness of early music with low cost.
I found OpenfabPDX's project for playable violin with relatively simple structure, and they also made a variation to build treble viol!

I am making a manual to make a bow. here is a parts list;
-8mm round stick (you can get one from home depot)
-bow hair(from aliexpress. from small bundle of hair you can make 2 bows-you don't want too much hair on early music bows!)
-cotton yarn(called tako-ito in Japan. often used for cooking Chinise roasted pork fillet in ramen. if you could not find it just any tipe of durable thin yarn will do)
-superglue
You also want to use 6mm drill(prefably drill for bamboo) and quality knife to make a slot on tip.
I will also make a manual to make it without flaws.
Frogs should be printed with durable materials like PETG, and layer hight should be 0.1mm.
You don't need any supports / brims to print it.
