For the indecisive desk jockey, this dual-faced, self-inking stamp takes the decision-making out of your hands. With a simple press, the mechanism randomly selects one of two faces to imprint. The design uses two internal tracks: one flips the stamp head, and the other keeps it straight, ensuring a random result each time.

The included stamp faces read “approved” and “denied,” but they are easy to remove and swap without any glue or fasteners. This makes the mechanism fully customizable, so anyone can create their own stamp faces and reuse the flipping and inking system for decisions they’d rather not make themselves.

To create this stamp, I printed most of the components in PLA and used TPU for the stamp faces. For assembly, you'll need M4 hardware to connect the parts and serve as axles that move along the tracks in the base plate. I recommend using bolts with a smooth shank section, as this helps reduce wear and allows for a smoother transition where the tracks split. The top section of the body includes a recess designed to hold a sponge or similar material, which can be glued in place and filled with your ink of choice to enable self-inking functionality.
