I had another light end upgrade fan mount but it didn't look, end product clean. I liked the way the voron looked, so I modeled my own. I did not use their files, just their inspiration.
Material seen: Atomic Black PETG-CF, and front is Atomic PLA Translucent Neon Green
It is modeled to work with the stock bltouch bracket. Just take off your stock fan cover, plop this on and go. All wires are to the right. The 5015 fan should just fit snug in. The wire can't go out the side, so just pull wires from the housing catch and push them the big hole in back.
The right screw mount goes through the front provided hole, m3x8 or m3x10, anything longer and it impacts the x-endstop.
It uses 4 magnets to hold the front on, but mine snuggly fit since there is no ‘error’ play in the model. So provided step you can put your own play if need be. These magnets are 6mmx3mm
Print orientation? For flattest mating surface, print back down, with supports obviously.
I printed front plate with a 0.4mm nozel 0.2 layer lines because of the lettering. The back was printed 0.4mm with 0.3mm layer lines.
Unique feature? to alleviate heatblock fan pressure, there is ‘ears’ that take air and pushes it into the cooling ducts, they are at downward angle so that when the 5015 kicks on it creates a ‘pull’ to pull extra air from the heatblock fan.
Update? the 5015 fan has more air on the outside of the fan flow than inside. I modeled the divider however to split 50/50, so you can use the step to possible move it to the left some like 1mm or so to get more air in the right channel if you need too. I didn't feel it needed it but hey maybe in updated version.
Other than that, have fun and post those makes. Show that old aging ender 5 plus some love.
I have included the step file because I have a tungsten nozzle that I think might be longer than stock. So you can ‘plane cut’ and move the bottom portion of the air shafts the easiest.
The front of it is also…'empty' so that you can model in led lights.
The picture includes obvious lettering, but provided one in blank so you can letter it yourself.
There is no arist/owner stamp on the file. You can modify etc, just make sure you attribute me.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
