A partial organizer for Critter Kitchen Deluxe, providing a superior player tray, unified card tray, and two bins to hold miscellaneous pieces and keep things aligned in the box. This organizer was made due to frustration with the included player tray lids and included card trays which tended to cause cards to slide everywhere when removing the tray from the box.

From the original organizer, the two large flat trays (for the wooden meeples and the expansion components) are kept, as well the star token tray, soup bowl, and draw bag. With these new 3D printed pieces, all components fit easily in the box with no lift, and the original flimsy card trays can be discarded.

The new player trays are smaller than the originals, but hold all the player pieces easily (including a soup if desired). Slots for the player screen are included. I laser-cut 3mm thick clear acrylic lids for each player tray (DXF file included), but since most people don't have a laser cutter, a 3D printable lid is also included.

The card tray has separate slots for each type of card, except that all 3 sets of solo cards are lumped together in the large slot to conserve space. There should be plenty of room for sleeves.

Putting it all in the box (see photos):

  • The existing wooden Zous-chef tray goes on the bottom, with the existing expansion tray nested on top of it (in our copy, they won't nest correctly if swapped, but yours may be different).
  • The 7 player trays with lids stack centered along the Zous-chef and expansion tray.
  • The player boards and solo board stack vertically behind the player trays.
  • The two corner bins hold all the above components in place, and provide room for 1) the 6-7 player ingredients and 2) various game tokens (round tracker, bisque, etc.)
  • The card tray sits on top of the expansion component tray, inside the raised edges of that tray.
  • The player screens and location boards stack next to the card tray, with the existing stars tray and soup bowl on top of them, and the bag of ingredients next to them.
  • The main Waterfront board fits on top of the card tray, and the rulebooks can sit on top of everything.

Note: I have not test-printed the 3D player lid, since I made acrylic ones.
