This is my template for when I seal envelopes with wax. I also included some fun “seal” designs to enjoy!
Notes:
- I will include a blank template for those who would like to add their own design
- Recommended 0.6mm impression depth
- Remember to mirror the design!
- The three openings are to stabilize the stamp in water to prevent falling before imprinting
- the added surface area further cools the stamp before imprinting for better results
- The arrow is for easy orientation, it has an easy to hold grip, and has a 25mm diameter
Printing:
- I printed with 0.4noz, PETG:
- Layer height: 0.20
- Gyroid infill
- 4 vertical shell perimeter (walls)
Other:
- Extra supplies I used to seal envelopes:
- Wax melting warmer, spoon, and tealight candle
- Wax beads - pick a nice colour
- Sandpaper - to rough down the area where one would drip the wax
- Ice bath - for the stamp to sit in before applying it to the dripped wax
- Pieces of paper towel - to dry the stamp before imprinting
- Optional:
- Magnetic surface/sheet and magnets - it's easier to hold down the envelope with magnets
May you print with success!
