I know there are quite a few designs out there to made modular DND maps, however, I really like this model that I have made just because it is so simple. It only requires three different parts and is fast and easy to print. If you would like to make more complex settings for your campaign you can also print various furniture pieces to add to your modular map. Make sure they are scales to a 28mm mini.
Below is my suggested number of parts to print per "set". I think it's a good ratio of floor:pegs:walls. However, feel free to print as many of each part as you want.

I recommend making it so that you have a square number of floor pieces and enough pegs and wall parts to go around it
once and across it 4 times. This is just the amount I deem to be about right, not for any particular reason.

You can use these equations to determine how many walls and pegs you might want for how many floor parts you want:

pegs = 8(sqrt(floorParts) - 1) + 4

walls = 8 * sqrt(floorParts)

For example for 100 floor parts you would need:
100 floor parts
76 pegs
80 walls

^This is the first set I made^ (and is what is shown in the picture)

Edit: Upon request I have added larger floor pieces for faster printing. I have added a part that is equivalent to a 6 by 6, a 4 by 4, and a 2 by 2. They have to be in even numbers in order to fit together properly.
I also added a piece to represent stairs. It slides into the pegs like a wall would.

I am a college student and any tips you leave will be much appreciated and will go directly into my college fund. So, if I make anything that helps you or you find useful please leave a tip. Thank you!
