I designed this 4-bar-linkage Hinge, to have the Doors of my Vcore4 400 fold outward to the side of the printer in a controlled way. I’m using 6mm PC Panels for the door, and 6mm ACM + 8mm Insulation for the Sidepanels. I also added a DXF for a Door that should fit with 6mm Sidepanels without Insulation.
I added Files for Left and Right hinges, and I hope the assembly gets clear from the pictures I have added.
The files need to be printed with a CF-reinforced filament to be stiff enough. I think I used PA-CF.
The Heatset-Inserts get added to the Framepart and the door anchor. Check thi pictures for where they need to go. Then i used an m5x40mm and to press-fit bushings on all of the rotational-points for smooth friction. Applying threadlocker to the screws is a must, otherwise they loosen over time. Also the parts settle a bit in the beginning, so you might need to readjust the screws after some time.
I also provided the Step File, but the thing is an extreme mess that I don’t have time to clean up unfortunately…
Hardware needed for the Hinges:
Additional Hardware to mount the Hinges to the frame, and the door. I can’t excatly remeber what I used there unfortunately. Was a bit mix&match.
