This katana is designed to match the original dimensions of a real katana.
My prints are mainly scaled down to 30% with the “pin.stl” file being scaled down to 28% to fit better. If your printer can print more accurate, or if you are willing to sand it down for a better fit, you can definitely go for that.
IMPORTANT!: The “pin.stl” file has a little bend to fit in the blade. Be careful with the print since the bottom will not be flat and may cause stability issues later in your print. So, don't forget to rotate this part 180°!
Color Change:
“Blade.stl” file requires a color change for tsuba and habaki. The rest of the parts are printed single color.
Stand:
The stands are now available in my page and must also be scaled down as much as you scaled down the original katana! For me, 30% scale worked perfectly.
This katana only requires super glue to fit the pin in both the handle and the blade. The pin is intentionally made a little shorter than it should be to ensure a nice fit. Therefore, to fully fill the handle's holes, please assemble the pin & handle first, and then the pin & blade. For the tip & blade, mine didn't require any super glue and fit tightly.
I would like to see your color combinations, or perhaps better looking remakes.
