Fell in love with this controller, but not the orange.
Print your own bumpers, colored backlight diffusion layer and roller!
***********(TPU 4 roller)************
Bumpers do not require supports
(The top of the print faces you when holding the keyboard)
Installation Steps:
Pop the back cover off and take out the battery (to avoid bending battery pins like i did)
Use a PH1 screwdriver to remove the 6 screws on the back
Carefully pop off the back there are a couple of clips but nothing to worry about breaking
The two bumpers will slide off after that with no issue and you have access to the roller also
Bend down the daughter board with the roller on it, there is a side that the roller slides into and a side with a button that allows it to be pressed in. Carefully slide the roller out of the hole towards the button. It should pop right out and you can replace the orange cover with a custom TPU one. (I did this a bunch of times on two separate keyboards and they didn't break but I wouldn't recommend changing it more than 2-3 times)
If you would like to add the backlight simply remove the 5 clips, two on the bottom of the board, two in the middle, and one on the top right, slide the layer between the rubber key domes and the main board.
Reassembly is the same in reverse, screw in the two top screws first and make sure the casing is tight so there's no gap around the bumpers.
Pretty easy installation the hardest part is definitely getting the roller out and back in, if you mod your keyboard upload a picture id love to see!
**did this in my spare time as a hobby if you want to remix it or sell it knock urself out, if you're Rii and want to send me more controllers or money or whatever pls do*
