Beta, do your own testing before using.
I wanted some mounts for openGrid where removing the plates after installing was possible. So I used the Beta Multiconnect Locking Snap, turned it upside down and made some modifications. As with the locking snap, turning the middle part locks and unlocks the snap, but since it is backwards, instead of removing the snap, the plate is removable.
Used medium command strips without the velcro part.
Print in place, I used ironing on top surfaces. Little hard to break free, but with pliers and a coin it is possible. Placing plates on mounts is easy, while removing them even after they are unlocked is a little harder, but possible.
No long term tests and the part I remixed is in beta, so expect changes to be made. I just put this out there, ideally someone will take this idea and improve on it, so that I don't have to. Thanks David D for openGrid and the cool lockable snaps.
Tips for improvements to both models and naming is appreciated.
The author remixed this model.
Beta openGrid Multiconnect Locking Snap, mirrored the outside, then made the base for command strip.
