I have a 1998 LT1000 Craftsman Riding Mower (but this should fit others as well)

The button for deck height adjustment was worn out and I had to push it a certain way to get it to work. I removed mine and designed this to replace it. Very easy to replace with basic hand tools.

-To remove you will have to push down on your button, and hammer out the horizontal pin near the bottom of the handle. You  will then be able to remove the whole button and rod as one piece. I was able to easily remove the button by twisting and pulling a bit.

-To install this one, you may have to use a drillbit to clean up the small hole. I heated up the rod with a small torch lighter and pressed firmly onto the rod. Then place rod assembly back down into tube and reinstall the pin that you hammered out.
